Rockin' Hood featuring John Fristoe - I Live Alone

Great song form all the way back in 1980. From the Hotlanta Home Cookin' compilation by 96 Rock. The great John Fristoe rockin' out with the Hood. Sorry for the dropout in that one section. It's recorded from an ancient cassette.
Kristen Hall with John Fristoe - Enough's Enough

Very old demo with Atlanta treasure, John Fristoe on guitar. I just love this song.
Kristen Hall - Too Long Running

This version is from the Kristen Hall Band Bootleg also. I love this version. It's a little more raw. They sounded so great together, the band.
Kristen Hall - Very Busy Man

From the Kristen Hall Band Bootleg, which was something she sold at shows way back when. Featuring Cooper Tisdale on guitar.

My favorite song by Marshall. Love that bassline, the sexy lyrics. It just moves me.

Shawn Mullins - This Time, Last Time
Kind of a masterpiece.
Yes all day!!!
In addition to Kristen being a brilliant songwriter with a distinctively cool voice, her guitar playing is masterful! The manner in which she maintains tempo while throwing in sweet little riffs while changing strumming technique to reflect the song's emotion is simply wonderful. Needless to say, I'm a big fan going back to the days when I played at Eddie's Attic and discovered her music. This isn't a knock on Taylor Swift, but Kristen is in another league. But, as many of us know, the marketing potential of an artist is as important to music companies as is an artist's talent!
These are his early days when we all went to NGC and he would play at Beaus ❤
Used to see her at Eddie’s Attic and fell hard for her “whisky & cigarettes” voice & intensity 🎉❤🙌🎁🤟👏
Does anyone know how to find a video of him playing this live?
John and I were dear friends and I loved and admired him as a musician and extraordinary person. His death broke my heart and I will miss he forever!
Saw the Jody Grind in Atlanta in 1989. Fantastic group. Vocals are haunting. They played a song that she claimed was about “her dog.” It was about a pit bull named ‘Chainsaw.’
Hey mane why did sugaland get rid of her cuz she be dope mane she 🔥
GREAT SONG!! 👍😃👍😃👍😃
LOVE this song! Harmonies are tight! 👍🥰
Hermanbrood4ever.. thxs und oder vielen dank !! Coach /Koos van Dijk manager Herman’s
Would you be willing to get a copy of this CD to me? I loaned mine to someone and never was able to get it back. It is the album I miss most in the world. Let me know if you still have it and have a way to make a copy. I have tried to find it for ages.
I hear ya. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to burn a CD. I'm a couple of laptops past the one I used to rip/burn/make videos. That's why I haven't uploaded anything in years. I think Kristen has a website where she sells her CDs. At least she used to. Pretty sure that's where I got my copy.
🕊💔🕊 RIP my love
Boss ass song!
R.I.P. my friend John!
Thank you for sharing this! It is not a song I have heard from Kristan Hall!
If you can find the Live at Eddie's Attic CD, it's WONDERFUL. Great songs, great stories. Especially the Howie story, which I also posted along with the song.
Thank you so much for uploading this song! I have great memories listening to this song when I was young on a.m. radio. :-). Thanks for the memories playback.
I remember her being so shy in the mid-80s that Amy and Emily had to coax her on stage.
Saw them live with Deacon Lunchbox many times. Still one of my favorite Athens experiences.
Thank you so grateful I've been hunting for this song for years, please share his song Just Like Me. It's on this album but its impossible to listen on anything.
Been looking for his early stuff myself. He doesn't even have it on his own profile. Crazy.
The Brood! Continue to RIP brother in the greatest Rock & Roll Hall of Fame there is.... ....Heaven! ~Rick
Ahh, those were the good days in Atlanta. Love Kristen Halll
I still adore this song and miss this CD so much.
I had to borrow a copy from my best friend to do this! I only have Lefty's Deceiver on CD.
Thank you so much for posting this!
Hello Kristen, Jeff here. this is a great song. hope all is well.
I lived and performed in Atlanta when the "Home cooking" album came out late 70's. 15 yrs later I find the album in a used record shop for 99 cents. Still love it.
Thank you. Happy 3rd.
Gotta listen to this one myself today!
Miss them so much! Always listen on 3rd of July.
Steven Anita Smith!!
❤
Rock 'n Roll as it is has to be! RIP Herman!
When i was young... Hamburg, Germany, from the sunset of the 70s to the sunrise of the 80s, each Friday + Saturday deep in the night at the Club "GRÜNSPAN" St. Pauli ---> 👙 Unforgettable...
ye 2021 R.I.P. H.BROOD!xxx
Dumped her because of her weight😕
I thought they were being homophobic. Sucks either way.
Same thing happened to Mama Cass, but finally John Phillips gave in because of her voice. I never listen to Sugarland simply because they did her dirty.
@@greenbeagle13 Yeah, fuck them.
@@romeohio19 - I think they could have changed that had they tried. No matter, I won't listen to them because of that, but I am sure they don't care if I listen or not.
@@romeohio19 - Okay.
I love Kristen Hall. I remember first listing to Real Life Stuff. I could not believe how intense it was and still is
It really is. I was happy when Spotify added it recently.

Hi James. I just played this one acoustically the other night. It's so good. <3
Wow! I loved this band! Thanks! 🥰
They put on a really great show back in the day. So much fun.
@@sisterdebmac I saw them every chance I got. Was great fun!
@@christieashley5937 Me too. Have you ever seen this? I was there that day. ruclips.net/video/gDnNC5Ik-7I/видео.html
@@sisterdebmac I have seen that, but I wasn’t there. Looks like it was fun!
@@christieashley5937 It was a great day. The Georgia Music Festival in 1990. On a few stages in L5P. It was my first time seeing EJS and another band I fell in love with, The Jody Grind. I was there to see Indigo Girls.
I love her voice. So unique. Song writing, extraordinary. Wish I couold find "Let it Rain"
I wish I still had my old computer with Windows Movie Maker so I could make more videos.
Sweeeeeet, vinyl version.... F'ing loving it
My fav Kristen Hall song! Miss her?
I do too. Still listen to her stuff all the time. Started playing guitar again a few years ago and learned some of her songs. She will always be one of my absolute favorite musicians.
Under-the-radar banger.
Sup Sean?
The lyrics aren't anywhere
(instrumental) love tell you what it means to me tell you what it means to be burred alive Hearts they lay in pieces where they fall till finally they learn to crawl away Remember me well I was the one who held, the hand the hand of stone and felt the flash, the flash of the pain I'll never hold you babe feel your arms around me anymore in night after all your lies I finally got wise now I don't even mind I don't even mind Looks If they could kill we both be dead they tell me what you never said to me Dreams why did you tear them all apart why did have to break my heart in two Remember me well I was the one who held the hand, the hand of stone and felt the flash, the flash of the pain I'll never hold you babe feel your arms around me anymore in night after all your lies I finally got wise now I don't even mind I don't even mind (instrumental) Remember me ~remember me~ You had me crawling ~you had me crawling~ I was your sinner ~i was your sinner~ You were my siren ~you were my siren~ You pulled closer ~you pulled me closer~ Push me away ~push me away~ Don't be to _______ ~don't be to ______~ Just loose your ~just loose your~ someday in the dark, walking on the wire, I thought I saw a light and not this freezing fire I'll never hold you babe feel your arms around me anymore in night after all your lies I finally got wise now I don't even mind I don't even mind I'll never hold you babe feel your arms around me anymore in night after all your lies I finally got wise now I don't even mind I don't even mind I'll never hold you babe feel your arms around me anymore in night after all your lies I finally got wise now I don't even mind I don't even mind
Incomplete but I did my best
Columbus, GA, Human Experience Theater. Canned Monster was my band. We got to open for these guys. Saw them several times before then. Always a treat when they came around. We all looked up to them.
I've spent the last month or so converting stuff from my old VHS tapes to digital and came across the official video. I used to look for it online before that and could never find it. Was happy to have just the audio to listen to from here. Love seeing him play around in his video again though. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/PBq0Dze6YlY/видео.html
Fantastic! So grateful that you were able to put this up. Thank you so much for letting me know about it!
Good GOD what a voice this girl has!!!! Better in low range every bit as beautiful as Adele. This is extraordinary.
I just love her. Always have. Since Virginia Hawkins slipped me a tape way back in 1990.
Who's the one asshole who disliked the video?
In that opening photo with the shades on he looks a bit like one of my other faves Chris Isaak.
Hey, you're right! I love Chris too.
such a great song. but i can wait another day for you.
That line destroys me.
